Guide Scope

I started off using a Guide Scope. This is an Orion ED80. I got tired of fighting differential flexure so I eventually moved on to off-axis guiding.

The guide camera here is an SBIG ST-237A I was borrowing from Vince Bert.

I look back on these photos and can't believe how much simpler the image train was without an off-axis guider.

Eventually I had to buy my own guide camera! I ended up getting a Starfish.
